Manual and Manipulative Therapy

ICBC and WCB
Assessment and treatment of injuries sustained in a car accident (ICBC), or at work (WCB). Treatment focuses on returning you to work, increasing activity tolerance and restoring pre injury function.
Injuries and Post Surgical Procedures
Whether you have just fallen and twisted a knee, awoke with a stiff neck or are recovering from a rotator cuff repair, our therapists can assess and treat a large variety of injuries, conditions, and dysfunctions.
Treatment may include joint and soft tissue mobilization and specific exercise prescription. Treatment is also available for pain and conditions related to pregnancy, osteoporosis, and menopause.
Treatment using needles based on Chinese Medicine and modern anatomy to help promote healing and decrease pain.
Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).
is a dry needling technique. Acupuncture needles are placed into tight muscular bands to elicit a reaction. The reaction of the muscle is followed by a decrease in the resting tone or tightness of the muscle. IMS is appropriate for many different types of pain because the source of the pain is often the same - the nerve root. By using IMS to target the source of the pain at the spinal level and the symptoms of the pain at the tight, over-reactive muscle it works to help both the source of the pain and symptoms. IMS can be used to treat a variety of conditions, from chronic pain after a motor vehicle accident to repetitive strain injuries to sports injuries.
Our exclusive neuro physiotherapist works one on one with neurological conditions such as stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury and Parkinson’s. Assessment and treatment involve a combination of specialized approaches to help facilitate function and mobility. Sessions are 30, 45 or 60 minutes of one -on -one rehabilitation.
Assessment and treatment for vertigo (dizziness), balance impairments and inner ear dysfunctions. Begnin Paraxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is a common cause of dizziness. Dizziness results when small crystals or debris, become lose and misplaced within the inner ear and create an unwanted stimuli that presents in the form of spinning/dizziness. Through specific head and body movements, the crystal can be relocated and the vertigo/dizziness resolved.
Assessment and treatment is specific and adapted for children with various conditions ranging from torticollis (wry neck), cerebral palsy and other developmentally delayed conditions, to general playground injuries.
