Yun Cheung BHK, MScPT, AFCI, NSCA-CSCS / CPT, Stott-Certified Pilates Instructor, Stretch Therapy Instructor Yun is a Registered Physiotherapist, Stott-Certified Pilates Instructor, and Stretch Therapy practitioner. Yun earned her Masters of Physiotherapy degree in 2006 from the University of Alberta. Since that time, she has worked at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, covering acute care and outpatient units and has also worked as the sole physiotherapist at West Coast Pilates and Health, practicing 'Pilates-Based Physiotherapy'.
Yun's background includes an undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia as well as earning her Certified Strength and Conditioning (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credentials through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is also a Stretch Therapy practitioner, trained by Kit Laughlin and the Posture and Flexibility method and has completed her Pilates training through Stott Pilates for Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels. Yun is currently working on completing her Level II Stott Pilates certification and her acupuncture training through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Yun specializes in exercise rehabilitation and believes that an effective rehabilitation program including active rehabilitation is crucial in helping her clients to achieve and maintain physical health.
In her free time, Yun enjoys skiing, biking, paddleboarding and yoga, and is looking forward to returning to training for trail running and snowshoe races in her new playground in the beautiful Okanagan.
