Tyler Dyck
B.Sc.PT, FCAMPT, CGIMS Tyleris one of the founding partners of Sun City Physiotherapy and has been an active member of Kelowna's sports and orthopaedic medical scene for almost 15 years. Tyler is a graduate of UBC's Faculty of Medicine in Physiotherapy, holds a diploma of Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapists. On top of achieving the highest level of peer-recognized manual and manipulative training internationally, Tyler is also a certified Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation Practitioner (CGIMS) and a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association's Sports Physiotherapy and International Health Divisions. He regularly speaks at medical conferences globally on a wide variety of biomechanical and neuromusculoskeletal topics.
In 2005 Tyler took a sabbatical from Sun City, accepting an invitation to create a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary medical facility in Kuwait where he lived and worked during the facility's development and launch. With Tyler as Executive Clinical Director, the Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute went on to become one of the premier physical medical centres in the Middle East. He has also helped spearhead or lead international physiotherapy aid initiatives in areas such as Rwanda, Sri Lanka, and Cuba. Outside the clinic, Tyler loves mountain biking, backcountry touring, skate-skiing, rock climbing, or planning yet another surf adventure to match up with his international professional pursuits. He recently ran the Prague International Marathon, following it up two weeks later with the Edinburgh Half-Marathon, a recuperation interval he acknowledges he would not have recommended to his patients.
Tyler is extremely proud of how Sun City Physiotherapy has grown into the Okanagan's premier physiotherapy centre with the largest team of the highest trained multidisciplinary practitioners in the valley.
